An Eventful Week!

7 quick takes sm1 7 Quick Takes Friday (vol. 211)

1.  Making headway with my Easter/vacation shopping!

On Sunday, and then again on Wednesday, I got to spend a couple of hours at the mall getting Easter clothes and clothes/sandals that some of the family needs for our upcoming trip to Florida.  Special thanks to both Jay and Mike for the extra help to make it possible!

2.  The end of one basketball season.......

  1. Photo: Jess & her CYO Team!!! Congratulations girls! :D

Sarah's team won their round robin tourney:)  Great job, girls!
(Sarah is second from the right in the back row)
    One team down and......

3.  Ellie's team's win streak continues!

That was the score of last night's game.  They play again tonight at the same time that Sarah will be reading for our parish's living stations and a ladies' get together is scheduled at my new friend, Laura's who is starting an Arbonne business!  I'm going to miss you tonight, Coleen!  (Can you go to Laura's again on Monday?:)
Basketball will definitely be over by then!
If they win tonight they play for the championship on Sunday!
The end of basketball is in sight!!!!

4.  Spring???
Speaking of waiting for the end of things....
I don't think Winter got the memo that Spring has started!
This is what we woke up to this morning....

5.  A special Award

Andrew received the Diocesan Youth Pro-Life Award yesterday at a special Bishop's Mass.  Jay and I are very proud of his dedication to such an important cause!  I think that the late additions to our family, (namely, Luke and Kate:), have made a big impact in all of our teenagers lives!
Surprises can be the biggest blessings!
(Congratulations to Andrew's teacher, Mrs. Tarantelli, who won the Diocesan Pro-Life Adult Award!)

6.  More Good News:)

I apologize if this sounds like bragging, but my Mama heart is bursting with thanksgiving this week!
In addition to Andrew's award, we found out that Jon will be receiving the Pope Pius X Award in May in recognition for service to our Parish!
And then yesterday, Mike got a letter that he is in the running for Valedictorian at  his college!
So proud of all of my sons!

7.  March Madness
We are definitely a basketball family!
For the last several years, everyone that is able to fills out a March Madness bracket and we have a little in house competition.
Winner gets bragging rights!
After round 1, there is a four way tie for first between Ellie, Sarah, Andrew, and me!
Fun times:)

Hope you have a great weekend!
